Prepare Surface:
Pressure wash the old roof surface to eliminate loose material, repair substrate, blisters, and cracks as needed. Clean all rubber surfaces with EPDM rinseable primer. The EPDM rinseable primer is the product that made renewal of EPDM roofs possible by being able to completely wipe away surface residue caused by ozone deterioration. All seams and surfaces are cleaned and primed for bonding, assuring permanent melding and sealing of all subsequent layers. |

Seal Seams:
Reinforce all roof, vent, duct, and flashing seams and laps with high tensile strength fabric or butyl-back tape. To ensure our roof is ready to be finished, we install as needed, a highly adhesive butyl-back tape (BBT) that bonds especially well with our top coat finish layers. Once embedded, the BBT tape's high tensile strength contributes to the stability of all restored roofing areas. Now we are ready to saturate the entire roof with a base sealer. |

Prime and Seal Surface:
A base sealer is used to saturate and waterproof all seam sealing fabrics and tapes at joints, vents, and rubber roof repairs. This bonding sealer applies as a fluid, filling all cracks, and curing as a seamless, pliable membrane over the entire roof. Once cured, a second layer of sealer is applied over the entire roof area to create the first monolithic bonding surface that is both waterproof and wind tight. This base sealer is formulated to bond the original EPDM rubber to the finished layers. |

Apply Core Layer:
Next we flow on the first layer of finish. The first finish layer is specially formulated to bond with the base sealer and melds into the old EPDM roofing material forming a new, seamless, weather tight roofing surface and provides a monolithic core base for the final surface. |

Apply Surface Layer:
To finish, we flow on the final top coat layer. The new surface will be a seamless, titanium white ply of a highly reflective roofing that is waterproof, pliable, and virtually impervious to airborne corrosives over years of hostile environmental conditions. Once the second layer of finish cures, the new roof takes on the sustainable advantages that permit the NRG Coatings renewable warranty to be updated every ten years.
